Keeping you safe during this period of unrest – A message from Warwickshire Police
This statement was first published on Warwickshire Police's website on Friday 9 August 2024.
Ahead of the weekend, as a force, we have a robust plan in place to deal with any disorder if required.
It continues to be business as usual for us here in Warwickshire, however we remain part of a wider national policing operation and are prepared to react locally if necessary.
Violence and disorder or hate crime will never be tolerated, and along with officers from our Safer Neighbourhood Teams, we have specially trained officers equipped to respond quickly and intervene early.
We remain grateful to our partner agencies across the county who along with us, are helping to keep our residents safe during this national period of unrest.
If you are concerned or have information that may assist please speak to your Safer Neighbourhood Team (See who to contact for your neighbourhood via Your area | Warwickshire Police) or report information to us online or via 999 in an emergency.
